Welcome to the LVEF! PDF Print E-mail
The mission of the Las Virgenes Educational Foundation is to promote quality educational experiences for all students in the Las Virgenes Unified School District, and to engage our communities in striving for excellence in our local schools.

While navigating this site, we hope you become Informed, Concerned, and Inspired:
  • INFORMED about why the Foundation is necessary - even in the outstanding LVUSD and about why we need YOUR help;
  • CONCERNED about California's continued DECREASED funding of our schools, which causes cuts to vital parts of our children's education;
  • INSPIRED by the opportunity we as a community have to participate in maintaining quality education for a district with a rich history of excellence!
Please use this site to learn about the the obstacles our students, teachers and schools face, to contact us with any questions, comments, or suggestions, and to join us in our pursuit to assist the LVUSD in providing the best education possible to students district-wide.

A Message From Dr. Donald Zimring, District Superintendent
Thank you for visiting the Las Virgenes Educational Foundation website! The Las Virgenes Unified School District is extremely fortunate to have the LVEF working to support our programs and our students. While each school site has active parents, support groups and booster clubs, only the LVEF works to support the entire district in its mission to advance educational excellence. LVEF programs touch every school site and LVEF Board members continually look for ways to bring our community together in support of our students.

Without the LVEF, our students would not be afforded opportunities to expand their educational programs through summer school classes. Individual school sites would not have many of the grant opportunities for teachers to implement innovative programs and most importantly, our community would lose the focus this group brings to the importance of quality education to our constituents.

I urge you to support the efforts of the LVEF and become involved as a member of their Board or an active participant in LVEF activities. “Together we can do great things for kids”!

Sincerely,

Donald M. Zimring, Ph.D.
Superintendent
